What We Offer for You

Active Healthcare Center provides a comprehensive approach to pain management. We provide treatments such as:

TENS Unit

A transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) unit is a device that sends small electrical currents to targeted body parts. These currents are used help relieve pain symptoms.

Bracing

Back braces are used to help with posture guide and decrease stress and pain in the spine. Back braces are to be used in conjunction with other modalities.

Trigger Point Injections

Trigger point injection (TPI) may be an option for assisting in pain management in some patients. TPI is a procedure used to treat painful areas of muscle that contain trigger points, or knots of muscle that form when muscles do not relax. Many times, such knots can be felt on exam by your provider. Trigger points may irritate the nerves around them and cause referred pain, or pain that is felt in another part of the body.

Joint Injections

Joint Injections are injections that can help relieve pain and inflammation in a specific area of your body. They are commonly injected into joints — such as your ankle, elbow, hip, knee, shoulder, spine or wrist. Even the small joints in your hands or feet could benefit.

The injections usually contain a steroid and a local anesthetic.

Calmare treatment

Calmare therapy is a non-invasive treatment to treat chronic neuropathic pain. These treatments are best done in ten consecutive, one-hour sessions.
